Merikukka Forsius-Harkimo

Merikukka Forsius (born August 12, 1972, in Helsinki) is a Finnish politician and member of the Finnish Parliament, representing the Green League. She was first elected to parliament in 1999. She has also been a member of the city council of Vihti from 1997 to 2003.

Forsius has a master's degree in education from the University of Turku. She has been married twice. She has one son (Dan, born 2004) with her second husband Harry Harkimo. Forsius and Harkimo have divorced after Dan's birth. Forsius currently lives in Vihti with her son. Merikukka's name means the flower of sea.
