Mergozzo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 120 km northeast of Turin and about 9 km northwest of Verbania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,097 and an area of 27.4 km2.[1]
The municipality of Mergozzo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Albo, Bracchio, Candoglia, Montorfano, and Nibbio.
Mergozzo borders the following municipalities: Gravellona Toce, Ornavasso, Premosello-Chiovenda, San Bernardino Verbano, Verbania.
