Mercedes-Benz Vaneo

The Mercedes-Benz Vaneo was a leisure activity vehicle based on the platform of the previous generation A-class, sold in the EU from 2002 to 2004. Its boxy and upright appearance led some people to say that it got part of its name from the word van, although it is based on the W168 A-Class

This vehicle drives like a large A-class, with the same sandwich floor and low centre of gravity compared to other vehicles of it's type. The interior is essentially the same as that of the A-Class. Furthermore, build quality not to be as good as expected of a Mercedes[citation needed] - although this is no surprise considering the A-Class' very poor reputation for quality.[citation needed] However, the Vaneo was part of Mercedes' world-wide range of vehicle offerings, which include cargo vans and trucks. This can be surprising to people who live in markets where Mercedes has been only known as a luxury-car marque.
