Menzies High School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Menzies High School is a secondary school located in West Bromwich, a town in the West Midlands of England. It has Science college status. It was opened in about 1900 as West Bromwich Grammar School and retained this status for approximately 70 years before going comprehensive during the 1970s.

It serves the Charlemont, Tantany, Hateley Heath and Stone Cross areas of West Bromwich.

In 2006, 16% of GCSE students at the school attained GCSE's at 'A' to 'C' in 5 or more subjects. This was the second lowest showing of any of Sandwell's 18 secondary schools - only Langley High School fared worse.

The current headteacher is Glen Goddard.
