Mentor High School

Mentor High School is a public high school (grades 10-12) located in Mentor, Ohio. It is the only public high school in the Mentor City Schools District. With 2,700 students in 3 grades, it is the 3rd largest high school in the state of Ohio. Mentor HS serves the city of Mentor, Mentor-on-the-Lake, and parts of Kirtland Hills and Concord Township in Lake County, Ohio.

Recently, Mentor High School has been known for its successful Cross Country and Track program. Its 2006 Cross Country team finished 5th in state landing their coach, Bill Dennison, Coach of the Year honors in the state of Ohio. The school was also the state champion in Cross Country in 1985, and Track and Field in 1933.

The 2006 Mentor High School football team came out victorious in its first state semi-finals match against Canton McKinley with a final score of 18 - 13 on November 25, 2006. They lost to Hilliard-Davidson High School on December 2nd, 2006 in the State Championship match at Canton Fawcett Stadium.
