Menifee, California

Menifee is an unincorporated area of Riverside County, California, United States.

Menifee is one of the three primary communities that make up the greater Menifee Valley. Other communities include Sun City, California and Quail Valley, California. The estimated population of Menifee Valley as of 2005 is 69,000, according to the Menifee Sun City Chamber of Commerce.

Menifee borders Sun City to the north, Quail Valley and Canyon Lake to the west, and Murrieta, California to the south. The city center of Menifee lies at the intersection of Newport Road and Interstate 215, which is located at 33°41′05″N, 117°10′16″W

Menifee Valley is known for its picturesque qualities, resting beneath Mount San Gorgonio and the San Jacinto Mountains.

Dating back to the 1980 Menifee Gold Rush, the area has been home to ranching with many horse farms still in evidence. The Budweiser Clydesdale horses are wintered there.[citation needed]
