Melodies Of Life is the theme song of the video game Final Fantasy IX, made by Squaresoft.

It was composed by Nobuo Uematsu and performed by Emiko Shiratori in Japanese and English. The lyrics were written by game director Hiroyuki Ito (credited as Shiomi) in the Japanese version and Alexander O. Smith in the English version. Variations of the song include an a cappella version that was released with the Final Fantasy IX original soundtrack and a solo piano track.

The song is mainly comprised of two themes that were frequently used in the game itself, the Overworld theme (Over the Hill), and a lullaby that is sung by Dagger.
