Melissa Fitzgerald

Melissa Fitzgerald is an American actress best known for her role on TV's The West Wing as Carol Fitzpatrick, assistant to C. J. Cregg.
Melissa Fitzgerald attended and graduated from Springside School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and earned a B.A. in drama and literature from the University of Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of prominent Pennsylvania judge James Fitzgerald.
She is the founder of Voices in Harmony, a non-profit community theater in Los Angeles.
On January 19, 2007, Nicholas D. Kristof of The New York Times announced that Fitzgerald had won a writing contest on Darfur he had sponsored.[1]
