Melissa Duck is a fictional character featured on the animated television series Baby Looney Tunes, voiced by Janyse Jaud. Melissa is a comedian and enjoys making her friends laugh. However, her humor sometimes gets her in trouble when she crosses the line.

The premise of Baby Looney Tunes is to take adult characters from the original Looney Tunes theatrical shorts and cast them as infants. However, unlike well-known male characters such as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, females characters were rare in the original shorts. Melissa Duck, Petunia Pig and Tasmanian She Devil only have a couple appearances each in the original films, while Lola Bunny was an original character created for the 1996 movie Space Jam.

Melissa Duck appeared in adult form in only two Looney Tunes shorts — namely Chuck Jones' The Scarlet Pumpernickel (1950) and Robert McKimson's Muscle Tussle (1953). In both of these shorts, she was Daffy Duck's girlfriend.

Melissa was also apparently the inspiration for the Shirley the Loon character on Tiny Toon Adventures. They are similar-looking female waterfowls with a romantic interest in the male duck character — Daffy in Looney Tunes, Plucky Duck in Tiny Toons.
