Melissa Bell is a British singer noted for her work in pop music. She was the lead singer of Soul II Soul.

Bell was born in Islington, London in 1964. She was educated in classical pianoforte by her grandmother, Icilda Russel, and supposedly developed a 5-octave range by practicing screaming.

Later became became lead singer of Soul II Soul and one of the UK's top session vocalist working with top names such as George Michael, Guns 'n' Roses, whitney, Liza Minelli, Lisa Stansfield, David Bowie, Queen, The Who and Elton John.

Melissa was voted the brightest new talent of 1992. She resides in North London and still plays an active role in vocal training and performance techniques.

Stevie Wonder is quoted as saying that "Melissa possesses a world class voice".
