Melia

Melia can refer to:

  • In Greek mythology, a nymph, one of the Meliae, see Melia (nymph)
  • In Greek mythology, one of the Oceanids
  • A village in the southeastern part of the Evros prefecture, of Greece.
  • The name of a genus of trees in the mahogany family Meliaceae, notably the Chinaberry or Bead tree: Melia azedarach.
  • The Hawaiian word for the plumeria flower, also called frangipani, in parts of Asia.
  • In sci-fi television show Stargate Atlantis, Melia is a member of the Atlantis Council at the time of the Ancient's evacuation of Atlantis to Earth.
