Melbourne & Metropolitan Tramways Board

The Melbourne & Metropolitan Tramways Board or MMTB (officially M&MTB) was an authority that was responsible for the tram network in Melbourne, Australia beteeen 1919 and 1983. It was formed by the merger of the Prahran & Malvern Tramways Trust & the Hawthorn Tramways Trust, among many others.

Its main headquarters was located at The Preston workshops. Its other depots were located at Glen Huntly, Camberwell, Essendon, South Melbourne and Hawthorn. It oversaw the operation of all tramways operations in Melbourne and suburbs until it was integrated into the Melbourne Metropolitan Transport Authority in 1983.
