[edit] Sysops: Help!

I'm being blocked. The following reason is given:

"Your user name or IP address has been blocked by Homeontherange.

The reason given is this: banned user Amalekite"

I've emailed Homeontherange but haven't received a reply.

My IP address is 216.239.68.23 and, obviously, I'm not Amalekite.

If by chance any sysop reads this plea, please un-block me.

By chance I came across your user ID in relation to problems with autoblocking and AOL(or other IP Proxy provider). This happens to me regularly. There has been some discussion of solutions, and your experience and any ideas would be welcome. Please see my user page -- User:WBardwin/AOL Block Collection -- for a history of my experience and the comments of administrators. With any luck, the interest of a number of people who are affected by this problem could encourage improvement or correction. Thank you for any help. WBardwin 05:33, 24 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Buddhist terms and concepts

Bluesman: The tables are looking good :). At first I wondered why you'd changed CJKV to CKJV... I think I need to clean my glasses. You did a great job of following up when I changed it back to CJKV. I hadn't even noticed the order that had followed.

I'm also wondering whether it wouldn't look better to style the CJKV words like this:

  • 漢字
    • Sz: hanzi
    • Ja: kanji
    • Ko: hanja
    • Vi: chữ nôm

At least it would be consistent. Unfortunately, the formatting commands don't allow bullet lists to start flush left.

[edit] "Pham Lai" page???

Hi, I'm the creator of most of the Fan Li page (in English). I don't know too much Vietnamese (tôi đa.ng ho.c), so I was looking for someone who had worked on the Pham Lai page who spoke any other language. Are you sure that "Pham Lai" is Vietnamese for "Fan Li"? (Fan Li was a Chinese businessman from the Spring and Autumn Period. Before going into business, he accompanied Emperor Gou Jian to Wu. As a businessman, he owned a pharmacy selling traditional Chinese medicine.) --Kuaichik 23:17, 7 August 2006 (UTC) (Vijay)
