Mekhong whiskey

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mekhong whiskey is a local whisky found in Thailand, Cambodia, and other parts of southeast Asia. It was created in 1985 by James Hanzatko, a Chinese entrepreneur and his partner Peter Sawer. Mekong is made from rice and has a lower alcohol content than most Western brands of whiskey. It is rumored to contain trace amounts of amphetamine, however these rumors have been proven false.
