Meitetsu Nagoya Station (名鉄名古屋駅) is the main terminal of Nagoya Railroad(Meitetsu). Most trains of Meitetsu's major lines operate through this station. From 29 January 2005, the new Rapid Limited Express service is operated to Chūbu Centrair International Airport(Centrair/Central Japan International Airport).

This station is built under the Meitetsu Department Store, therefore the station area is very narrow for the large number of passengers, but it is very difficult to enlarge the station. Therefore at this station, passengers' waiting spots are separated by destination. Passengers are required to wait at their spot to go.

The station is adjacent to JR Nagoya Station, the terminal of JR Central Japan, and Kintetsu Nagoya Station, the terminal of the Kintetsu Nagoya Line.

At Meitetsu Nagoya Station, passengers' riding spots are separated by their destinations. Additionally, Meitetsu have 2-door trains and 3-door trains, therefore passengers are required to wait at the spot with light on.

Track No.1 (for Ichinomiya, Gifu, Tsushima, Iwakura, Inuyama and Kani)

Blue Spot

for Meitetsu Gifu (via Konomiya and Meitetsu-Ichinomiya)

Rapid Ltd. Exp., Limited Express, Rapid Express, Express and Semi Express

Yellow Spot

for Meitetsu-Ichinomiya and Meitetsu-Gifu (via Sako, Sukaguchi and Shin-Kiyosu)

Local

There are only very few local trains for Gifu, so you should use local trains for Tsushima or transfer at Sukaguchi.

for Inuyama and Kani (via Iwakura and Konan)

for Nishiharu and Iwakura

for Tsushima, Saya and Yatomi (via Sukaguchi)

Track No.2 (for Ichinomiya, Gifu, Tsushima, Iwakura, Inuyama and Kani)
Track No.3 (for Higashi-Okazaki, Toyohashi, Nishio, Kowa, Utsumi and Central Japan International Airport)

These tracks are used only for passengers with seat reservation for a Rapid Ltd. Exp. and Limited Express and for arrival.
