[edit] Copyright problem with York School image.
Greetings!
You recently uploaded Image:YorkSchool.jpg. However, that image is copied from the school's website [1]. Even if a website does not contain a copyright statement, it does not mean the materials on that site are in the public domain and can be used freely wherever a person so chooses. I've placed the image for deletion, listing it at Wikipedia:Copyright_problems#July_28. Wikipedia:Copyrights#Image_guidelines may be of assistance to you in showing why this is a problem.
I encourage your active participation and contributions to Wikipedia. Just be careful about violating copyright. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. --Durin 17:45, 28 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Don Mosebar
Hello. I checked the article you created on Mosebar, which seems very good to me. I just want to remind you to be careful with acronyms like UCS, which you used in this article. Lots of people won't be aware that it refers to the University of Southern California (and not, for instance, to the University of South Carolina or any other institution in the whole world that may go by those initials). It is better to avoid such acronyms and spell out the institution's entire name. JoaoRicardo 05:09, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] amfootbio-stub
there's no need to add amfootbio-stub to pages that already have a stub for a specific american football position. It is redundant. Thanks, --Alhutch 23:07, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] C.R. Roberts
Hello Mehudson1. I notice you've been making a some big contributions to football player articles, including a lot of USC Trojans. They are really great, and I hope you keep them coming. One of your new articles, though, C.R. Roberts, appears to be taken from the subject's website, which is copyrighted, and can not be used on wikipedia without the owner's permision. For more information about Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, take a look at our Five Pillars. ×Meegs 08:14, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Whittierlaw.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Whittierlaw.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. the iBook of the Revolution 23:06, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Peter Mel
I have placed a tag on the article Peter Mel, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. I did this because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why Peter Mel is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Peter Mel. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. --Hurricane111 23:07, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Linda Johnson Rice
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Linda Johnson Rice, but we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. [edit] Links
Hi Mehudson. I was looking over some of your edits, like your last one where you added seven links that were either not necessary, or that pointed to the wrong destination. Would you please take a few minutes to look over Wikipedia:Only make links that are relevant to the context and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (dates and numbers). The key part of the latter is avoid overlinking dates. Thanks. ×Meegs 01:23, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Football positions
Hi Mehudson. When you're making infoboxes for football players, would you mind not abbreviating the player positions. We are a general-purpose encyclopedia, and lots of people do not know what T and C and RB, etc., mean. Let me know if you want to discuss this. Thanks, and keep up the good work. ×Meegs 10:05, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Tamtriken.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Tamtriken.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 03:05, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ten Ren Tea
Per your request, has been restored. Please immediately address the notability issue... I've put a hangon on it for you. 00:56, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- I was trying to assist you by wikifying the article so it is less likely to be deleted but just noticed you pretty much reverted all my changes. Guess some people don't want the help. Good luck not having it deleted. - Glen TC (Stollery) 01:55, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Stash Tea Company
Can you please add some more information to Stash Tea Company? As it stands, the article lacks any context and shows no indication that the company meets the notability guidelines at WP:CORP. Without more information, the entry is liable to be deleted. --GraemeL (talk) 20:39, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Eluthero
Hi, Thank you for thinking of creating the Eluthero page, and having a link point to Siberian ginseng. I edited the Eluthero page so that it will automatically redirect to the Siberian ginseng page. You do this by editing the page and adding "#redirect siberian ginseng", in this case. ॐ Priyanath 21:53, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] American football
Should not all the foortballer articles say American football (not american football) ? --ArmadilloFromHell 04:18, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Citations needed
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Kennedy Pola, but we regretfully cannot accept original research. Please find and add a reliable citation to your recent edit so we can verify your work. Uncited information may be removed at any time. Thanks for your efforts, and happy editing! [edit] NFL Draft 2007
Hi Mehudson,
Please read the talk page of the NFL Draft 2007 to see that many of the players you added, like Ryan Powdrell, were removed (by myself) because they are not really top prospects (they were not invited to the NFL Combine, which is basically the who's who of the NFL Draft prospects each year). I am reverting your edits on this topic.--Thomas.macmillan 17:44, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
