Talk:Meg & Dia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Can someone confirm if Meg Frampton / Dia Frampton are related to Peter Frampton? Peter Frampton has a daughter named Meg apparently.

Put here for good measure
Discovery "Meg and Dia opened for Limbeck about 2 and a half years ago in St. George Utah back when they were playing in a band called cowards courage. I was on tour with Limbeck and saw their set and was blown away. After the set I approached both Meg and Dia and told them I would love to manage them and help them out and try and get them more exposure. they agreed and at first I didn't do much but then after a couple months went by Meg called me after a show they played in Vegas and was really excited. she said "cheese we just played a show and it was sold out and people were outside still trying to get in and we did really really good in merch so what should we do now?" so I was like ok it's time to step it up. I then started telling everyone I knew who was involved with music about Meg and Dia. I was at the Bamboozle festival tour managing The Honorary Title and I ran into my friend Dave Conway who does A&R for Atlantic Records and Doghouse Records, I told him about Meg and Dia and he said he'd check them out. the next day he told me he loved what he heard and that he was going to have the people at atlantic hear it, they did and were interasted, I then had Meg and Dia come to L.A. to play for a guy that works for Atlantic. it was kinda weird cause it was in his hotel room but he liked it and kept in touch for awhile but then after a couple of weeks of not hearing from him it kinda fizzeled out. Then I had Meg and Dia make some Press kits to send to different record labels and I called people I knew at the labels and told them to really listen to the cd's that were sent. Doghouse, The Militia group and Fiddler records were all interasted so we had a showcase at the knitting factory in L.A. during the summer of 05 and Doghouse and the Militia group gave us offers. I had very strong ties to doghouse cause I worked for them during the 2002 and 2003 warped tours and I had been tour managing bands on their label for awhile, that coupled with a few other reasons was why we decided to go with doghouse. Meg and Dia who by this time were now known as Meg and Dia and not cowards courage signed to Doghouse with Nick, Ryan and Kenji, and now they are on MTV and a national touring band... it's crazy that all this is happening. and THAT is how Meg and Dia got "discovered"" quoted from Mr. Jon Cheese on the Meg & Dia Forum

why was that removed? their tour manager jon cheese actually said that on the Meg & Dia message boards. Maybe it should be edited? also, the Meg & Dia are not related to Peter Frampton. That's a fact any oldschool Meg & Dia fan can tell you. Reinerbs925 05:55, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Reiner
- There are a number of reasons:
- It's not NPOV
- It's non-verifiable (a forum is not a reliable source)
- Wikipedia isn't a place for stories by others like this--now, if the information could be integrated into the page with verifiable sources, then it would be valid. But, as such, this definitely does not belong on wikipedia. Moonty 06:18, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
