Megaphone Trophy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Megaphone Trophy is awarded each year to the winner of the football game between the University of Notre Dame and Michigan State University. The rivalry includes many great games, such as the Game of the Century, arguably the greatest college football game ever played. Notre Dame currently leads the all-time series 44-25-1.

[edit] Recent Games

In recent years, the rivalry has once again been heightened sparked by close, hard-fought games by both sides. After a 44-41 loss in OT the previous year, Notre Dame won the most recent showdown in stunning fashion, scoring 19 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. An interception which Terrail Lambert returned for a touchdown with less than three minutes to play capped the Irish comeback.
