Mega Man II, known as Rockman World 2 (ロックマンワールド2 Rokkuman Wārudo Tsū?) in Japan, is the second video game in the portable Game Boy version of the Mega Man series. The game follows the adventures of Mega Man as he follows his arch enemy Dr. Wily back in time and confronts Wily and the enemies from his past, as well as Quint, a mysterious robot who may be more than what he seems.

Just like the other "classic" Game Boy games in the series (except MMV), the game is a type of combination of features from two corresponding NES games. In this case, the game combines the gameplay of Mega Man 3 (including the slide and the three Rush items), but in the beginning, the player fights Robot Masters from Mega Man 2. Unlike the other games in the Gameboy series, this game features original music rather than remixed music from the previous NES games, although it is uncomfortably high-pitched.

After beating the four Robot Masters, the player heads to Wily's fortress where he has to fight four Robot Masters from Mega Man 3. Here however, instead of a Stage Select screen, the bosses are selected by jumping in to a teleporter, similar to those in other Mega Man games but different in that the player has to complete an entire stage before reaching the Robot Master.

The other four Robot Masters from Mega Man 2 were featured in the first Game Boy Game and the remaining Robot Masters from Mega Man 3 were later featured in the third Game Boy game. This practice continued up until Mega Man V which featured completely new bosses. Note: in this title Crash Man is known as Clash Man, an example of Engrish.
