[edit] Wikiwoohoo

I have been involved with Wikipedia for the second time now for quite a while. My previous account is unknown to me however, since I forgot the username ans password. My name is Grant and I have recently created a new email address for use with Wikipedia as shown above. I put my name forward as a candidate for adminship not too long ago but was rejected but hope to try again soon. I would like to be a Mediator to help my fellow users in their disputes in order to help them overcome these. Wikipedia is a great project and a great community and I would love to do my bit to make it even better.Wikiwoohoo 20:45, 9 November 2005 (UTC) When I had only had this account for a short amount of time, there was a brief moment where a dispute could have arisen between myself and another user, over the issue of the company logos of The Link and Dixons, two British electronics companies. We both handled the matter brilliantly and nothing bad happened at all. Wikiwoohoo 20:49, 10 November 2005 (UTC)

I hereby withdraw my self made nomination to be a member of the Mediation Committee. Wikiwoohoo 20:00, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

  • Would you mind expanding? Thanks. Flcelloguy | A note? | Desk | WS 20:24, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
  • I think that the statement still needs expanding. Make sure to give some examples of how you've attempted to handle disputes. Ral315 (talk) 23:28, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
  • Oppose due to failed RFA, see comments below. Redwolf24 (talk) 00:22, 10 November 2005 (UTC)

Comments:

  • My problem with losing an RFA: at Wikipedia:Mediation, the page states that a mediator is a trusted member of the community, and if the community rejected his adminship attempt, then he's not YET trusted. Wikiwoohoo, keep on editing, do some mediating with the MedCab, and try again some time later. Redwolf24 (talk) 00:22, 10 November 2005 (UTC)
