Silverhand (talk contribs) I joined Wikipedia as an editor on October 7, 2005. I consider editing, and especially counter-vandalism, as one of my hobbies. I believe I would be a good fit with this committee. This comes from my work as a contractor on behalf of the U.S. Government. I am a six year veteran of informal mediation, dispute resolution and research in my professional life. Some may find it odd I would want to do mediation as a profession and as a hobby. However, this would provide me with an opportunity to improve my mediation skills, to the benefit of Wikipedia and my professional life. Thank you for your time in reading this. --SilverhandTalk 21:39, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Mediation committee:

  • Oppose. Needs some more experience and better understanding about the Wikipedia's policies. Shyam (T/C) 19:36, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
  • Oppose. While being here since 2005 is a nice asset, over that time, you've only managed to have 249 edits. Now, I'm not one to judge people solely on edit count, but only 23 of those edits have been to the Wikipedia / Wikipedia Talk namespaces (23, 4 respectively). That just doesn't show the level of experience with policy, etc that we need for the committee, sorry. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by ^demon (talkcontribs).
