[edit] Prezboy1

Prezboy1 (talk contribs) I will begin by stating that I am NOT an administrator... but at the same time I have not applied for adminship and I have no plans to do so in the near future. My area of interest lies mainly with resolving ongoing conflicts that tend to plague articles from time to time. I believe my strongest asset as a mediator will be that I do not see any ideology, belief or opinion as invalid, and will therefore mediate conflicts with utmost impartiality. In addition, my wish is to incessantly search for the middle ground in these arguments. I have a fairly extensive knowledge on the differing opinions and claims throughout many subject areas, so I should be useful in not disregarding or overemphasizing certain sides during conflicts. I will conclude by stating that I have been a Wikipedian for quite some time, although not as long as others. In my earlier edits, I did occasionally (albeit unintentionally) include some of my own biases into articles. But ever since realizing the importance of high Encyclopedic quality on Wikipedia, I have made an effort to diminish vandalism, POV, and above all hostile conflicts and edit wars. Thank you for your time in considering my nomination. Feel free to voice all questions and concerns. Prezboy1 17:54, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Mediation committee:

  • Hello! Would you mind providing some links to your previous experience here on Wikipedia, and also expand on your statement that you had "earlier... occasionally (albeit unintentionally) include some of my own biases into articles"? Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?) 16:17, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
    • Yes, what I meant by the "biases" statement was that in my earlier days editing on Wikipedia, I hadn't yet grasped the concepts of maintaining a high-encyclopedic quality in articles. So there were a few occasions when I would make an edit using weasel words or without a valid source. But I eventually realized that such statements in articles are almost always undesirable, and I made a strong effort not just to curb this habit, but to try and eliminate it upon finding examples of it elsewhere. I think that a good example of a decent article to which I am the main contributer is the New Hampshire congressional elections, 2006 (which I have made a great effort to keep as unbiased and free of POV as possible). Some others that I've contributed heavily to are Love Like Winter, Plymouth, NH. Don't overlook any shortcomings though, and do not hesitate to make a swift decision if it is apparent that I do not meet the criteria for a mediator. - Prezboy1 18:21, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
