[edit] JCarriker

I've been thinking about nominating myself for a while now. I've been inspired by the response to MGM’s ideas (especially the committee's), and I've also been encouraged by wikipedians that I helped as an advocate. I enjoy mediating things, I'm a successful Model UNer, the City Commission in my hometown endorsed a project I'm heading to get the city's factions to cooperate better, and I try to broker compromises when they occur in subjects I'm knowledgeable about (see Talk:Eleanor Roosevelt). I believe in mediation, and its potential to avoid conflict, and I personally know of instances where POV warriors have agreed to compromise. I'm not a perfect person, I've had user conflicts in the past— though all of them have been cordially resolved. I've never been brought before ArbCom or Rfced, and I'm on good terms with virtually all wikipedians, (as far as I know). I believe I will make a good mediator if the committee and community will have me as one. -JCarriker 09:55, Jun 9, 2005 (UTC)
