DanielZimmerman (talk • contribs) I am interested in making wikipedia better and would enjoy helping other users solve their problems. I think of it as "giving back" since I had an issue mediated once and appreciated the help. DanielZimmerman 21:03, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Mediation committee:
- Oppose, unfortunately. You had not edited Wikipedia regularly since May '06 up until last week. A lot of things - and I mean a lot - have changed since then, and this has affected the community. I fear your lack of updated knowledge, both about Wikipedia's community structure and the variety of undertones which are affecting it presently (I cite the IRC debate as one example), may be a problem. Another thing, in consideration of my recent-editing comment, that I am distinctly worried about was Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Daniel Zimmerman. Although this may seem like an age ago, I haven't been able to objectively review enough of your activities since that due to your long break. I'm sorry, but at this juncture I must oppose this nomination, with absolutely no prejudice to any future nomination if/when you become solidly more active again (so I can re-evaluate, with new information, whether you would be a 100% suitable member of the MC).
