[edit] Computerjoe

Computerjoe (talkcontribs) II withdrew my last request to join MedCom, but I am interested once again. I believe dispute resolution aids the speedy running of the encyclopedia, per the logic dictated at WP:DBE.

I do a bit of work at MedCab, but I believe I would work well in MedCom! I have in excess of 7500 edits, though am not an admin.Computerjoe's talk

Mediation committee:

  • Oppose. Computerjoe has found himself involved in a great deal of conflict over the past few months, and I'm not convinced from what I've seen that he has the demeanor to be a mediator. Mediation requires a great deal of patience, and the ability to withhold your own feelings in order to remain neutral; I'm just not convinced it's there. Beyond that, mediators should be upstanding and uncontroversial members of the community, and I'm inclined to believe that, due to his many conflicts in recent months, Computerjoe remains too controversial for the committee at this time. • These conflicts were within WP policy, to the most part, and it was not content disputes or anything disruptive. However, I do respect your opinion greatly. Computerjoe's talk 15:26, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Oppose per Essjay. Conflicts, whether within policy "to the most part" or not, are something that mediators simply should not be involved in. Ral315 (talk) 23:12, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
