[edit] Request Information
- Request made by: BuyAMountain 01:00, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
BuyAMountain
- Where is the issue taking place?
- ECW One Night Stand
- Who's involved?
- BuyAMountain, TJ Spyke, 3Bulletproof16
- What's going on?
- TJ Spike is reverting information that BuyAMountain is editing into the ECW One Night Stand article. BuyAMountain says the information is an important part of the climax of the show, while TJ Spike and 3BulletProof16 claim it is non notable.
- What would you like to change about that?
- I would prefer if my edits remained intact, as they were an important part of the show.
- Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
- No.
[edit] Mediator response
Okay, let's have a look. This dispute seems to be over how notable or non-notable a post-match brawl was. I know nothing about ECW (and little about wrestling in general) so could you describe the "buildup" leading to this brawl and why its outcome was notable? Flakeloaf 07:06, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

- Generally when writing wrestling results, only match results are stated. Brawls are mentioned, but usually only what causes the brawl to start. Bischoff did get attacked, but it was just one of many things that happened during the brawl. TJ Spyke 05:07, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- This is true, but the driving force behind the brawl was Bischoff's hate for ECW. He's the one who organized the "invasion" This was built for several weeks. Also the attack on Bischoff took place AFTER the brawl had ended. In fact he passed the WWE wrestlers who were leaving, and they did nothing for him as they walked by. So Bischoff being attacked was a separate event.
- Can any of this be verified, even with a source that would otherwise fail WP:RS? Flakeloaf 01:36, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2005/articles/1118630194.php confirms the order of events as I presented them. It doesn't mention the buildup much. But it does show that the attack on Bischoff was emphasized in the show. Incidentally Bischoff said "FUCK ECW" during the "post show interview" I'd like to point out, as well, that TJ Spyke has a long history of reverting valid edits repeatedly without consulting the opinions of others. He's been blocked from Wiki 5 times. BuyAMountain 01:31, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
