[edit] Request Information
- Request made by: RobertBFC 11:43, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- Where is the issue taking place?
- Various pages to do with General Tojo and Complaint pages
- Who's involved?
- Tiscali UK users V Administrators and those who want a ban on Tiscali UK because of one user.
- What's going on?
- One user has been causing a bit of problem. This has led to IP bans on millions of users. I've complained strongly and been accused of being a sockpuppet. I'm also being told that its my responsibility to sort this out.
- What would you like to change about that?
- I want an investigation into the conduct of some administrators, I want a guarentee that the ban will be lifted and never be put back on. I want the admins to contact Tiscali and sort this Tojo out. I want an apology for being accused of being a sockpuppet and a removal of this from my user page.
- Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
- Not sure, whatever would be for the best. If discreetly I'll need a way to give you my e-mail address.
[edit] Mediator response
The mediation cabal is an informal initiative and as such can't deal with pure user conduct issues with punishments and requests for blocks and bans to be lifted - this sounds like more of an issue for WP:ANI. I would suggest you go there with the issue, instead. Is that alright? Cowman109Talk 20:35, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well, there isn't much that can be done here. As I've said, you should make a report at WP:ANI requesting that the actions of the administrators are evaluated, I suppose. The Mediation Cabal cannot punish editors, however, so this is not the place. I am closing the case, though it will remain on my watchlist. Cowman109Talk 03:30, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Discussion
While using the talk page of the article in question to solve a dispute is encouraged to involve a larger audience, feel free to discuss the case below if that is not possible. Other mediators are also encouraged to join in on the discussion as Wikipedia is based on consensus.
- That's fine - any help you can offer in transfering this would be helpful. As I've mentioned I've been called a sockpuppet for my stance and if you see my profile, you'll see the disgraceful reason given. The user who placed that template actually admits he only did it because he didn't like my attitude. I've explained fully that since the Tiscali bans, a helpful admin helped me register to get round it and since then I've devoted all my wiki time to fight this issue against some disgraceful admins and their supporters. Is there any rules against users putting these sockpuppet tags on users (i.e. myself) when they've admitted they've done it knowing full well it isn't true? RobertBFC 21:13, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

- I'm trying to assume good faith but have been going round in circles with people avoiding the issue. I understand that blocking Tiscali is an option but unless Tiscali don't do anything I fail to see the justification. Only then will I lend support as a disgruntled Tiscali user. Regarding Civility, please see my user page and the various accusations aimed at me as a Tojo Sockpuppet, these could be considered as personal abuse but no doubt as with any other misconducts it'll be brushed under the carpet. It's nothing personal Geni, just I'm really narked off with the fact no-one seems to be interested in the abuse I've recieved or the inconvenience to Tiscali users.
