[edit] Request Information

Request made by: Scottandrewhutchins 02:38, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
Where is the issue taking place?
Charun
Who's involved?
User:Glengordon01
What's going on?
He insists only his source is valid and that all of my edits based on other sources are invalid, yet none of his quotations of his supposed source say anything directly related to the figure in question. He is repeatedly reverting my edits and accusing me of vandalism, and I'm the one that started the page to begin with.
What would you like to change about that?
Require Glengordon01 to provide quotations, and consider it vandalism when he removes my documented information.
Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
I doubt it would help, since I'm the onyl other person who has edited the page, and he keeps putting perosnal attacks on my discussion page. He claims his source is the only one that is valid and that charon and the Crossing by Ronnie H. Terpening is not.

[edit] Mediator response

Hmm, I looked at the page, and I see that nothing is referenced. You may want to consider looking at WP:CITE and consider adding citations to the points he is disputing, as anyone could change anything on the page in its current state and no one could prove otherwise. Verifiability is crucial in encyclopedia, so all this seems to need is citations, not mediation. Does that sound alright? Cowman109Talk 22:05, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

I'm closing this case as it seems that mediation isn't necessary. The page is unsourced and unverified in itself, so sources should be provided to the disputed claim, else there is little that can be done. Cowman109Talk 03:29, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
