Where is the issue taking place?
There's an edit war revolving POV over at Michael Di Biase.
Who's involved?
Quite a few people. The most recent seem to be User:Pm shef and User:JohnnyCanuck.
What's going on?
There are arguements that Pm shef is close to the person the article is about, and subsequent discussions as to whether something is important or not, and removing it is POV, etc.
What would you like to change about that?
Well, I like to see people in harmony. I don't really know what to do, so I'm here.
Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
I think someone with authority needs to step in and help clean things up. But I'll help as much as I can.

[edit] Mediator response

Checking out the issue. Check the article page, my talk page, and the case-submitters userpage for discussions. --The Prophet Wizard of the Crayon Cake 01:38, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Xiong hasn't responded on his talk page yet, and I believe it's been quite some time. I'll wait a few more days, otherwise I'll close as inactive. --The Prophet Wizard of the Crayon Cake 11:35, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
I'd say it's been a good month or so since the case started... and literally nothing has happened. I'm killing this case slowly and enjoyably. -- The Prophet Wizard of the Crayon Cake 16:10, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Discussion

While using the talk page of the article in question to solve a dispute is encouraged to involve a larger audience, feel free to discuss the case below if that is not possible. Other mediators are also encouraged to join in on the discussion as Wikipedia is based on consensus.

Surely this is the wrong place for this. MedCab says specifically "The Mediation Cabal provides unofficial, informal mediation for disputes on Wikipedia, and is composed of volunteers who wish to assist people in resolving conflicts.". It seems to me that you need formal mediation that binds if you are looking for a person "in authority". Fiddle Faddle 20:41, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
Nevertheless, we'll be happy to help. Although we have no real authority, we can settle disputes without needing to resort to such things. Ideally, Wikipedia shouldn't need an authority to say what is right or wrong, as that would be a cabal. --The Prophet Wizard of the Crayon Cake 01:37, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
