These are The Halo's notes on the Mediation Cabal Portal:Taiwan case.

User:Nrtm81 wants the portal to be named Portal:Taiwan, whereas User:Chiang Kai-shek thinks that may be too political, and wants to make sure that there is no confusion that Taiwan isn't a country in it's own right.

The following were suggested compromises, none of which were accepted.

1. Create Portal:Republic Of China and naming Portal:Taiwan, Portal:Island of Taiwan
2. Create Portal:Free areas of the Republic of China, and crate Portal:Republic of China
3. Have Portal:China contain all china related topics
4. Create Portal:Free Areas of the Republic of China, which would contain not only Taiwan, but also the islands of Fuchien and other current ROC territories.
5. Portal:Taiwan to being inter related to Portal:ROC
6. Portal:Taiwan Province, or Portal:Taiwan Province, Republic of China
7. Having the portals read as such on the portal browse: Portal:ROC·(Taiwan)
8. Portal:Taiwan Island, or Portal:Taiwan (Island)
