[edit] Request Information

Request made by: Krwarnke 19:24, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Where is the issue taking place?
There has been an on-going dispute for more than six months about the appropriateness of including graphic descriptions of sexual abuse allegations that were not widely reported or, to my understanding, the subject of a legal investigation.
Sorry, misread the question. It takes place on Talk:Woody Allen.

Who's involved?
Justforasecond has been involved in this dispute with a number of Wikipedia users. (See Talk:Woody Allen)
What's going on?
Aforementioned user apparently feels that his information is vital to a true understanding of Woody Allen, though a number of other users question the veracity of the allegations and the utility of listing the charges in graphic detail on such a general page. Another person has suggested creating a new page specifically for the allegations, though the small amount of information available makes skeptical users wary of using Wikipedia for character defamation of Woody Allen.
What would you like to change about that?
I propose that an outside mediator offer an assessment of the necessity of describing the sexual abuse allegations in graphic detail. It would seem fair to mention their existence, but to itemize in such a manner that the user proposes seems inappropriate on such a page.
If you'd prefer we work discreetly, how can we reach you?
...
Would you be willing to be a mediator yourself, and accept a mediation assignment in a different case?
No thank you.

[edit] Evidence

Please report evidence in this section with {{Wikipedia:Mediation_Cabal/Evidence}} for misconduct and {{Wikipedia:Mediation_Cabal/Evidence3RR}} for 3RR violations. If you need help ask a mediator or an advocate. Evidence is of limited use in mediation as the mediator has no authority. Providing some evidence may, however, be useful in making both sides act more civil.
Wikipedia:Etiquette: Although it's understandably difficult in a heated argument, if the other party is not as civil as you'd like them to be, make sure to be more civil than him or her, not less.

[edit] Compromise offers

This section is for listing and discussing compromise offers.
