[edit] Request Information

Request made by: Clouded 18:25, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Where is the issue taking place?
The Ayumi Hamasaki article, especificly the Profile Section
Who's involved?
Myself and this user (i don't know how to link it well) http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&target=24.224.246.18
This is a better reference. You need to select Next in the history so the URL becomes a reference to a definite timestamp. It's called offset in the URL. You find that explained in Wikipedia:Mediation_Cabal/Evidence3RR --Fasten 20:11, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
What's going on?
He keeps deleting Ayumi Hamasaki's real name saying that that's not her real name when it is. He obviously don't know anything of Japanese languaje and he called me idiot because he thinks that the real name is written in chinese. He clearly doesn't know that Japanese names by law are obviosly written in Kanji.
What would you like to change about that?
To don't let that user edit the Ayumi Hamasaki article anymore.
If you'd prefer we work discreetly, how can we reach you?
By my talk page it will be fine. Clouded 18:33, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Would you be willing to be a mediator yourself, and accept a mediation assignment in a different case?
This is, following the Categorical Imperative, the idea that you might want to do
what you expect others to do. You don't have to, of course, that's why it's a question.
no

[edit] Evidence

Please see the "discussion" area.

Please report evidence in this section with {{Wikipedia:Mediation_Cabal/Evidence}} for misconduct and {{Wikipedia:Mediation_Cabal/Evidence3RR}} for 3RR violations. If you need help ask a mediator or an advocate. Evidence is of limited use in mediation as the mediator has no authority. Providing some evidence may, however, be useful in making both sides act more civil.
Wikipedia:Etiquette: Although it's understandably difficult in a heated argument, if the other party is not as civil as you'd like them to be, make sure to be more civil than him or her, not less.

[edit] Compromise offers

This section is for listing and discussing compromise offers.

[edit] Comments by others

While using the talk page of the article in question to solve a dispute is encouraged to involve a larger audience, feel free to discuss the case below if that is not possible. Other mediators are also encouraged to join in on the discussion as Wikipedia is based on consensus.

[edit] First thoughts from mediator

From reading the talk pages concerned, it appears to boil to a simple disagreement over some facts. I have requested on the article talk page and the editor concerned that they refrain from editing the article to further to attempt to prevent escalation, and that they cite sources on the talk page to back-up their version. Once that has been done, hopefully, an agreement can be reached on the correct version. Kcordina Talk 14:22, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

There has been no response to my request for sources, but nor has there been any continuation of the problems. Considering case closed. Kcordina Talk 13:39, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
