[edit] Request Information

Request made by: Notmyname 15:02, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Where is the issue taking place?
Stephen Conroy
Who's involved?
Myself (anonymous IP 220.238.236.45), User:DarrenRay and possibly User:2006BC
What's going on?
The dispute is pretty simple. It involves the inclusion of an allegation made of Australian parliamentarian Stephen Conroy by the former leader of the opposition Mark Latham. The allegation is that Stephen Conroy's actions were a major factor in the suicide of Greg Wilton. The discussion may be seen at User_talk:DarrenRay#decency (a result of a comment DarrenRay left on my talk page at User_talk:220.238.236.45).
What would you like to change about that?
My contention is that the allegations are notable. The people involved in these allegations are notable. The allegations themselves sparked a media frenzy here in Australia. Therefore, whatever one's opinions are on the matter, they should be included. I would not mind alterations to make it more NPOV, but in this case they are deleting the edits entirely.
If you'd prefer we work discreetly, how can we reach you?
...
Would you be willing to be a mediator yourself, and accept a mediation assignment in a different case?

Probably not.

This is, following the Categorical Imperative, the idea that you might want to do
what you expect others to do. You don't have to, of course, that's why it's a question.
...

[edit] Mediator response

An arbitration case has been brought against DarrenRay, so I don't think the Mediation Cabal can be of any assistance in this case. --Keitei (talk) 19:13, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Evidence

Please report evidence in this section with {{Wikipedia:Mediation_Cabal/Evidence}} for misconduct and {{Wikipedia:Mediation_Cabal/Evidence3RR}} for 3RR violations. If you need help ask a mediator or an advocate. Evidence is of limited use in mediation as the mediator has no authority. Providing some evidence may, however, be useful in making both sides act more civil.
Wikipedia:Etiquette: Although it's understandably difficult in a heated argument, if the other party is not as civil as you'd like them to be, make sure to be more civil than him or her, not less.

[edit] Compromise offers

This section is for listing and discussing compromise offers.
