- Usually when someone names a user page link as the subject of mediation they have an issue with the user themselves and not the actual user page itself. This case is, however, somewhat but not entirely different: I am currently a party to a dispute with SlimVirgin which arose out of a complaint I brought about both her use of protection on her user page and of her use of a fair use image there. The image has since been deleted, which resolves my concern; however, SlimVirgin continues to contact me, with allegations which I believe to be false, in an increasingly aggressive manner. I have attempted to find resolution with her directly, and several other editors have noted to her that her actions appear unjustified. The tone of her comments on my talk page is also indirectly causing me additional harm because I am frequently contacted by users with questions about my automated image copyright tagging, and their attitude and level of respect in their queries is directly related to how I am treated in other active threads on my talkpage. Furthermore, SlimVirgin's aggressive response is now being extended to other users who step up with concerns that I am being mistreated... As a result, I think it would be useful to request outside mediation as I believe SlimVirgin will be less likely to dismiss the position of an outsider acting in a somewhat more official capacity, and the additional outlook on the situation would likely be informative to me as well. I have avoided discussing the fine details of the dispute here, because I do not wish to unfairly characterize the situation.

- I would like SlimVirgin to discontinue her harsh treatment of me and work with me peacefully to resolve any standing concerns.

- Wow, I had no idea that the mediation cabal was a firing ground. ... Had I expect this sort of thing, I wouldn't have bothered, since El_C might have at least felt compelled to consider providing a an actual criticism, rather than this cheap potshot, if left to write on my talk page rather than here. :-/ --Gmaxwell 01:02, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
