[edit] Request for cabal mediation

[edit] Request Information

Request made by: Kcordina 10:22, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
Where is the issue taking place?
Principally on the articles Salarzai and Tarkani pages, also see correspondance on user_talk:McKhan and user_talk:Khoikhoi
Who's involved?
Initial User:McKhan and user:Khoikhoi, now also involving me user:Kcordina after I tried to resolve it.
What's going on?
User:McKhan has created pages Tarkani, Salarzai, Wur and Mamund, which (in my opinion) are not written in the highest quality of English. User:Khoikhoi has been trying to add {{copyedit}} tags to the articles, but McKhan has been removing them, and that has gone around in circles repeatedly. I stumbled across a tagged article and copyeditted it, leaving messages to McKhan and Khoikhoi saying what I had done, and could they please check it for accuracy, as I wasn't an expert. This led to the edits being reverted, and a tirade from McKhan here (you can see my note to him here). Recently someone has edited Mamund (in a good way) and had their edits reverted by McKhan. So, in summary, McKhan is refusing to let anyone touch their articles.
What would you like to change about that?
Mediate with McKhan to explain why a copyedit is needed to improve the articles and get them to allow the edits to remain.
If you'd prefer we work discreetly, how can we reach you?
The debate is already public, so there is no need for discreetness.

[edit] Mediator response

I think this is just a violation of Wikipedia:Ownership of articles by the user. I will try to talk to him. Olorin28 00:36, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

Since Mcclan has not been active for 10 days, it seems that the dispute had died down. Olorin28 03:09, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
