[edit] Request for cabal mediation

[edit] Request Information

Request made by: NetEsq 22:32, 29 December 2005 (UTC)
Where is the issue taking place?
Brian Chase (Wikipedia hoaxer) (Talk Page)
Who's involved?
Several Wikipedians with different levels of editing experience and privileges, arguably rooted in the largest AfD in Wikipedia's history.
What's going on?
A group of Wikipedians wish to merge/redirect the Brian Chase article to the article about the John Seigenthaler Sr. Wikipedia biography controversy, and another group of Wikipedians who oppose this action believe that the Brian Chase article should remain where it is rather than being "lost in a sea of information."
What would you like to change about that?
For a variety of reasons, I fall into the "keep" camp for this particular article, and I am concerned that other like-minded Wikipedians have assumed the dispute is resolved and have moved on. Ideally, I would like to see a consensus emerge. However, I believe that we have a clear stand off between the "mergists" and the "separatists."
If you'd prefer we work discreetly, how can we reach you?
How you work is up to you. However, I can be reached by private e-mail at wikipediauser@netesq.com.

[edit] Conclusion
