- What's going on?
- For some reason, SWD316 feels that I am a sockpuppet (which is totally false) and that I have vandalized his page. He has left some comments about me on his user page that attack me and are not true in the slightest bit. I have asked him very nicely to remove the comments about me, but he refuses. I feel this violates the personal attacks official policy on wikipedia, and I am insulted that I have had my user name slandered on this page with various users calling me a troll, vandal, "asshole", and sockpuppet, which are not true at all.
- What would you like to change about that?
- I simply would like the materials about me to be removed from SWD316's user page. Nothing more or less.

This is my first case as a mediator but I feel that SWD316 is right in a way. SWD316 has never accused you of being a sockpuppet, but fact is that you were owning sockpuppets. User:David Gerard did a checkuser on you and it was found out that User:Rock09 and someothers were in fact sockpuppets, and as far I can tell you were using them to harrass SWD316. In my opinion you should be blocked for that and the case should be closed. --Jaranda wat's sup 18:18, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
I am inclined to agree with Aranda56 on this one; reporting what is a statement of fact does not generally fall within the purview of a personal attack, and so it is difficult to see that this matter has any substance in itself. I wouldn't, however, advocate that you are blocked, since it isn't the Mediation Cabal's place to impose punitive sanctions; nonetheless, I do think you should perhaps take a step back and look at exactly what is being said and avoid making accusations of attacks where none exists. I can't actually determine whether or not there is a substantative conflict here that needs remedial action other than your own specification of SWD316 having made personal attacks (which we have determined to be untrue) thus I do not feel there is any way we can help. If on the other hand a real dispute comes to light, you are of course welcome to reapply for our assistance, bearing the above in mind.
