Medusa (Lolo)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Medusas are an enemy featured in Eggerland series.
Medusas resemble a head with snakes for hair and do not move. If Lolo crosses into the Medusa's line of sight, which is any direction, a Medusa will fire upon Lolo and when it does, there is no escape from its attack. The only way to pass by a Medusa is to block its line of sight with an Emerald Framer, a monster in an egg, or even using a mobile monster. Medusas may not be put into an egg with magic shots normally. The Windows game has Crystal Framers which reflect a shot and will work. The MSX game Eggerland Mystery also allows Lolo to be unaffected by Medusas in the bonus rounds.
If Lolo begins to walk into the Medusa's line of sight, the monster will give an active face expression as a warning. Though this happens even if the line of sight is blocked, too.
One key to the Medusa's attack is that it's limited to full line of sight. Lolo will be unaffected if he is only half way into the line of sight. Also, blocking the line of sight with only a half space is good enough and is even the key to solve some puzzles.
