Mediterranean Harbor

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mediterranean Harbor is a "port-of-call" at the entrance of Tokyo DisneySea in the Tokyo Disney Resort. Themed as an Italian port city, the layout greatly differs from the entry "lands" of many Disney themeparks (Disneyland's Main Street, U.S.A. and Disney-MGM Studios' Hollywood Boulevard) as it is a large "V" shape: to the right leads to Mysterious Island/Fortress Explorations, and to the left leads to a canal system/American Waterfront.

Surrounding the harbor is the Hotel Mira Costa, a luxury hotel that provides most of the architectural theming of Mediterranean Harbor.

Fortress Explorations is a walk-through castle filled with exhibits and activities to engage families. Outside is a 16th century galleon called "The Renaissance".

The Venetian Gondolas take guests on a slow, romantic trip on an authentic gondola with singing gondoliers.

On the harbor plays two extravigant shows: the daytime Porto Paradiso Water Carnival, and the nighttime BraviSEAmo!
