[edit] Media and Politics
Poland has instituted freedom of press since the fall of communism. However, public TV and radio are still politically controlled, via a state regulatory body called Krajowa Rada Radiofonii i Telewizji (The National Radio and Television Committee).
It is said that the public TV channel are used as means for political propaganda. Recently grave irregularities have been found in the state owned TV channels during the investigation into the Rywin affair.
