Media Mouse

Media Mouse is a Grand Rapids, Michigan independent media web site. Its primary focus is on covering grassroots progressive movements in West Michigan given "inadequate coverage" by the corporate media. The site typically is updated several times a day on weekdays with news updates and/or commentary on local, national, and international news. The commentary typically comes from a radically leftist perspective.
In addition to news, Media Mouse has a photo gallery mostly consisting of photos from various protests, a page featuring several video productions Media Mouse has been involved in, a book review section, and a collection of fliers and leaflets for progressive events in the Grand Rapids area in the past. Also, several reports have been prepared under the collective authorship of Media Mouse, the most recent of which was a report on companies in the West Michigan area profiting from the war on Iraq.
Although the site does have regular contributors, there is no official Media Mouse staff. With the exception of the Commentary section, everything on the site is written anonymously. Anyone can write an article and have it published on Media Mouse.
