Media Convergence Server

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A MCS (Media Convergence Server) is a proprietary hardware product sold by Cisco Systems. In fact, these are usually rebranded servers made by HP. The goal of Media Convergence Servers are to provide a standard hardware platform for Cisco's Unified Communication products such as Cisco CallManager and Cisco Unity. They typically feature dual CPU, RAID level 1, and dual power supplies.
