Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the external links you added to the page Graffiti do not comply with our guidelines for external links. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -FisherQueen (Talk) 19:00, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Graffiti. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. -FisherQueen (Talk) 19:09, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Graffiti. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -FisherQueen (Talk) 19:13, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Graffiti, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from any site that uses the MediaWiki spam blacklist, which includes all of Wikimedia and Wikipedia. [edit] A few things...
Hello Meaowza. I noticed you have been edit warring on the Graffiti article. Please understand that this is not an acceptable way to edit and editors may be blocked from editing the site if they breach our three revert rule policy. This policy states that anyone who reverts an article more than three times in a 24 hour period may be blocked from editing. You appear to have reverted the Graffiti article five times in 24 hours. I am not going to block you this time because you seem to be a new editor who is a bit confused about Wikipedia and our policies. However, you should consider this your final warning because you will be blocked if you breach 3RR again.
Also, there are some other issues that need to be addressed with you. I am concerned by your edits to FisherQueen's talk page. Wikipedia has strict policies (NPA and Civil) which prohibit personal attacks. Your various comments, including calling FisherQueen such things as a "Nazi," "Stalin-like" and "power mad pseudo-intellectuals with no real knowledge" are not acceptable comments. I am giving you a second chance on the belief that you are new and unaware of Wikipedia's policies, but, if you continue to attack other editors in this way, you will quickly end up being blocked.
I note your complaint about the removal of the external link to your blog. I understand your frustration at the removal of your link without explanation and I'm sure it seems arbitrary to you, however, the editors who removed the link were following our Manual of Style guidelines for external links. Under Links normally to be avoided, point 11 specifically deals with blogs. Furthermore, under Conflict of Interest policy and Advertising and conflicts of interest, "You should avoid linking to a website that you own, maintain or represent, even if the guidelines otherwise imply that it should be linked. If the link is to a relevant and informative site that should otherwise be included, please consider mentioning it on the talk page and let neutral and independent Wikipedia editors decide whether to add it."
