Meadow Glen Mall
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Meadow Glen Mall is a small enclosed shopping mall situated at the junction of the Mystic Valley Parkway (Route 16) and Locust Street in Medford, Massachusetts. Constructed in 1979 on the site of a drive-in theatre, the Meadow Glen Mall is a neighborhood mall catering mainly to residents in the inner Northern suburbs of Boston, including the communities of Medford, Malden, Everett, Somerville, and Stoneham. Meadow Glen is home to two anchor stores, Kohl's and Marshall's, along with approximately 40 in-line tenants. Until 2001, the mall's main anchor tenant was a Bradlees department store that closed when the chain went into bankruptcy. Kohl's opened in its place in 2002, and an Old Navy located in the mall moved to a nearby big box plaza in Everett.
