[edit] History

The Allstar Wrestling Federation was a promotion founded by Matt Emswiler in 2002. Matt, for years, wanted to bring a small local wrestling promotion into the Frederick County, Virginia. In 2002 his dream was realized as he organized the first pro-wrestling promotion to be created in the Northern Virginia area.

The central reasoning for his creation was to bring a group of diverse talent to perform in front of local audience in order to bring a greater appreciation to the sport of pro-wrestling to the area.

The company itself was only the site of three major events and several attempts to have a fourth event as a so long tribute to our fans and our wrestlers. The AWF was extremely short-lived, but as of today May 2, 2006, talks have began to bring back the Allstar Wrestling Federation next month to the Northern Virginia and Eastern West Virginia Panhandle region...

[edit] AWF Roster

Only 4 Members were present at the first AWF event and only 2 attending every event thereafter

Count of BMX, undoubtedly the most powerful wrestler on the AWF Roster...BMX relied on his power and ground and pound style wrestling...Many of his fans credit him with a style of a streetfighter/brawler rather than a typical wrestling style...Pound for Pound, BMX was the toughest competitor we had whose raw power will never be forgotten...He won the AWF Intercontinental Championship at his debut and is the only AWF Superstar who has held that title...BMX came to the ring wearing a biker helmet, a biking jersey and gloves...Yup, he is a biking enthusiast...

DOOM, the enigma of the AWF...Little is known about DOOM...He appeared at our last event and assaulted a few superstars by using hit and go tactics...DOOM was covered from head to toe with black lining, so his identity remains unknown...

First Class Scout, the protoge of THE SCOUT, who teamed with First Class to form THE SCOUTS who are currently the first and only holders of the AWF Tag Team Champions...The Tag Championship has since been debunked...

Jimmy Flammer, the most troubled of all the AWF Superstars by far...Jimmy Flammer was troubled by a haunted past which frequently disturbs his present life...Jimmy took up pro-wrestling in order to serve as an outlet for his rage, which is evident during his matches...Jimmy Flammer will best be remembered for his orange jump suit he sported to the ring and his malevolent crawl down the entrance ramp...Flammer's arsenal came from his high-flying aerial style maneuvers...Flammer participated in the last televised AWF match where he became a co-champion of the AWF European Title...However, he was stripped of his championship after he no showed an event, which continues to leave a sour taste in the mouths of everyone involved in the AWF...

Mark Michaels, the most flamboyant member on the roster...Michaels was one of only 2 members who attended every live AWF event...Michaels had a true talent and natural ability which made him such a fearful competitor...He was one of the smaller wrestlers on the roster, but what he lacked in size, he made up for in skill and determination...Michaels will be a future Hall of Famer here in the AWF and is the only competitor to hold two major single titles at once...Little is known about this man outside of wrestling, which surprises no one b/c wrestling is all he knows and all he cares for...He claims to be ready to retain his World Title at the next AWF event...Michaels was also the on-TV commissioner...

Matt Cruz, perhaps the most gifted in ring performer that the AWF had to offer...Matt Cruz used his straight forward attitude approach against his opponents...Matt Cruz was the only true all-around wrestler in the AWF as he utilized all aspects of pro-wrestling to defeat his opponents...Cruz was a gifted ring technician, who relied on swift maneuvers along with submissions to pick up his victory's...Cruz along with Michaels are the only two AWF members to wrestle at each event...Cruz wrestled in the AWF debut match and captured the World Title only to lose it later that night to Mark Michaels...Cruz is currently the European Champion, but has his eyes set on recapturing the World Title...Matt Cruz will be the first inductee in the AWF Hall of Fame...He is the trainer of Count of BMX...

Nathan Savage, the current AWF World Title holder...He has only attended one event, where he captured the World Title in an over-the-top Battle Royal...Little is known about him, but he promises to be a challenge to any opponent who steps in the ring with him...Savage claims to be brother of the infamous Macho Man Savage, but this hasn't been confirmed...Savage relies on his striking abilities and small grapple maneuvers...

The Scout, an extremely powerful wrestler who also was a gifted technician...Perhaps the best big-man competitor in AWF history...The Scout has captured numerous titles in his career, but has turned his back on wrestling and the AWF to pursue a life of religion...The Scout follows the boy-scout motto..."A Scout is trustworthy, honest, brave...."
