McPhearson Phantom

McPhearson Phantom is a Courage the Cowardly Dog episode, with a ghost-story theme to it.

Eustace gets consistent bad luck, and blames Muriel for what's happening. Muriel denies anything. Eustace calls his mother for advice. She blames Muriel for what's happening, even though she has no idea. She runs into a phantom, who tells her she is trying to break up Muriel's marriage because one of her ancestors threw her husband into the Loch Ness Lake, where the monster ate him, so she wants revenge. Ma teams up with her in order to trick Eustace and frame Muriel. Courage tries to resolve the matter and Eustace thinks that Muriel is innocent again, but Ma arrives and with the phantom makes it look like Muriel is tormenting Eustace again. Courage sees that the phantom is doing this, and tricks Ma into admitting that it was her ancestor who killed the phantom's husband. The phantom turns on Ma and chases her away, resolving the problem.

Ma acts a little crueller to Courage than in the last time they met, scorning Courage's phychiatrist abilities and mostly ignoring him. She says 'Courage, you stupid dog!' when Courage is stopping the phantom and chases him, apparentally wanting to harm him. She then compliments Courage's phychiatrist abilities, telling the phantom that she's in the middle of therapy.

This reveals a little about Ma's past.

Ma and the Phantom tourture Eustase through very wierd and odd ways. These include:

  *having his clothes fold him so that it looks like he isn't even as tall as mid lowerleg,    and his chest is as thin as paper.
  *Placing 2 chickens in his hat so that they would peck at his scalp simotainiesly.
  *they also planned to put finger eating termites in his soap, and after Courage's therapy the phantom put lobsters down Eustase's overalls.
  *When the Phantom senses Muriel making up she says "I sense a disturbence on the force". This is reffering to the Star Wars saga.
