[edit] Merge of HH-60 Jayhawk to Sikorsky S-70

I'd recommend against merging the two articles as you suggested, as the S-70 article contains the general information about the design and wikilinks out to the variant airframes, the Jayhawk article can focus on that particular ariframe. Merging the two together would make the S-70 article awkward, and would imply that the same would have to be done with all S-70 airframes to maintain consistency.

Based on this, would you mind if I removed the mergetag from the Jayhawk article? Saberwyn 05:48, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

I don't think there's a 'standard' or 'guideline'. The way I personally see it, if an article's becoming too big and complicated, and a section can support at least a screen of info on its own, then it's easier for all to keep them apart. The article's fairly established on its own, so I personally don't see any harm in leaving it where it is. Saberwyn 06:37, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

I've removed the mergetags from Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk, Sikorsky SH-60 Sea Hawk and Sikorsky HH-60 Jay Hawk. If you're ever looking for something to do in regards to merging and tidying up articles, come for a wander through Category:Articles to be merged.

Feel free to buzz me if you ever have any queries in the future. Saberwyn 07:34, 24 October 2005 (UTC)
