McLennan Community College

McLennan Community College (MCC) is a community college partially funded by the taxpayers of McLennan County, Texas. Located in Waco, Texas, it opened in 1965. It now serves about 8,500 students and has over 600 employees. It is governed by a Board of Trustees elected from single-member districts in the county.

McLennan Community College is located on the north side of town near the Bosque River and Cameron Park. It is one of three colleges in Waco along with Baylor University and Texas State Technical College. MCC offers Associate's degrees in both Arts and Science suitable for transfer to senior institutions. The school offers other Associate's degrees in Applied Sciences ranging from healthcare and business to computer information systems. There is also a Law Enforcement and Fire Academy on campus.
