McIntosh College is a career-oriented institution dedicated to the personal, intellectual and professional growth of its students. The College has a century-long tradition of providing academic programs which integrate the acquisition of job-related skills with the development of clear, critical thinking and effective reasoning. While McIntosh recognizes its obligation to provide specific skills necessary for the student to function in a contemporary work environment, it operates under the philosophy that a college is more than a training facility. Students must leave the college experience with a sense of competence in their chosen fields, a belief in themselves as individuals, and a critical awareness of the world around them.

On Campus Living

The McIntosh campus comprises several buildings spread out over 11 acres in a central residential area of Dover, NH. Most programs, including the library and administrative offices are housed in the central building. The Academy of Design and Technology and the Culinary Arts Academy, however, have their own facilities located in outlying buildings.

The College provides dormitory suites that are located right beside the Culinary Academy - the dorm building and the culinary school were formerly part of a hotel, so each room has a bathroom and shower, unlike most college dorms which have community bathrooms.
