McCormick & Schmick's

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

McCormick & Schmick's NASDAQ: MSSR is a publicly traded seafood restaurant and catering chain, which had its beginnings when Bill McCormick purchased the Jake's Famous Crawfish Restaurant, a 100-plus year-old local landmark restaurant in Portland, Oregon, in the mid-1970s, and signed on Doug Schmick for management. The two formed "Traditional Concepts," the precursor to the "McCormick & Schmick's" restaurants.

The original "McCormick & Schmick's" restaurant was opened in 1979 in Portland. As of 2006, there are over 50 restaurants and catering locations around the United States.
